Andrew Havig Jensen (1861-1930) emigrated from Farsund, Norway to Chicago, Illinois in 1882. In Chicago he worked as a baker, like his father-in-law. He later was a plumber and steam fitter at L. Wolf Plumbing. He was a singer, composer, and the choral leader for his church. He died in Williams Bay, Wisconsin of "apoplexy" in 1930, at age 69. He was born as "Andreas Jensen" and "Havig" as his middle name was passed down orally and does not appear on any official documents. "Havig" may have been the farm where he was born. (b. Death of his wife. "Lena Jensen of 48 North Menard avenue and Williams Bay, Wisconsin, January 23, 1938, wife of the late Andrew Jensen, fond mother of Mrs. Mary Marie Hemwall, Mrs. Dolly Gogerty, Mrs. Daisy Woods, Mrs. Goldie Holm, Mrs. Eleanor Shanahan, Leif, Leonard, Alvin Jensen, and the late Mrs. Thea Caro; twenty-two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Resting at funeral home, 318-320 N. Central avenue, Austin, until Wednesday noon. Funeral Wednesday, 2 p.m., at Moreland Lutheran church, corner Lotus avenue and Huron street. Interment Mount Olive."

His death. "Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Andrew Jensen, 4932 Austin avenue, choral leader and composer who died suddenly Friday at Williams Bay, Wisconsin. He was 69 years old and had lived in Austin 40 years. He is survived by his widow and eight sons and daughters."

Shanahan, Leif, Leonard, Alvin, and the late Mrs. Max Caro. Funeral Tuesday, 1:30 p. m., at funeral home, 318 N. Central. Interment Mount Olive."
