THE CUIRASSIER'S GRAVE

Raven plume on riven helm,
Rider in an unknown realm;

Thou hast ta'en the final journey,
Thou hast made the final tourney,

Shivered thy lance, broken thy sword,
Ended allegiance to thy lord.

So fares each knight encountereth
The pale horse and his rider Death!
