Johannes Cashow (1701-1777) was born in 1701 to Jacob Cashow (c1675-1758) and Anna Maria Rapalje. He married Marÿtje Symonsen. In some documents he is referred to as "Johannes Cassau".

- His father's biography: "Jacob Cashow, of Brooklyn, born in New York; married September 28, 1695, Anna Maria Rapalje, daughter of Tunis Rapalje and Sarah Van Vechten, born at Cripple Bush. His will dated May 31, 1734; proved October 2, 1758 (R. L. ax, F., Jos, New York). He gives to Jacob's son, Tunis, his gun; and to Abraham the land at Cellers Neck. Issue: Johannes Cashow (1701-1777), married Marytje Symonsen."

August 5, 1769, he sold land to his son Mouris Cashow, 13 acres between Wolver Hollow and Norridge (East Norwich), for £200."
