- Death of her mother. "Anna Lowe, a Rye resident for over 60 years, died on Saturday at the United Hospital. She was seventy five years old and resided at 21 Oakwood Avenue. The widow of Ira Lowe, she was born in New York City on October 20, 1881 [sic], daughter of the late Charles and Anna Augustus [sic] Kershaw Lindauer. She was a member of the Rye Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Testerman of the home address; a son, Joseph Lowe of Rye; three grandchildren, U.S. Army Captain John Wahl of Fort Benning, Georgia, Mrs. W.F. Spaulding of San Antonio, Texas, and William Joseph Wahl of Rye, and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the William H. Graham Funeral Home with the Reverend Paul Abel, pastor of Rye Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Union Cemetery."

- Marriage of her daughter at the family home. "A very pretty home wedding was solemnized Thursday evening, when Miss Blanche Lowe, daughter of Mrs. Anna Lowe, became the bride of John Wahl, Jr., of Kentucky and Rye in the presence of thirty relatives and friends. The ceremony took place at the bride's home, 38 Elm place and was performed by the Rev. Frederick W. Poten, pastor of the Rye Methodist Church. The bride was charming in a gown of flesh-colored crepe de chine and bridal veil caught up with lilies-of-the-valley. She wore a corsage bouquet of bride's roses, and was given in marriage by her uncle, Le Baron Lindauer. The bride's only attendant was Miss Margaret Miller, of New Rochelle, who was becomingly attired in Alice blue georgette and wore a bouquet of pink roses. The best man was Edgar Ferguson, of Philadelphia. Following a bounteous wedding repast the young couple departed amid a shower of rice and old shoes for a brief honeymoon, upon returning from which they will reside for the time being with the bride's mother at the Elm street address. The newly-married pair were the recipients of many beautiful gifts."

"Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindauer of Locust avenue were surprised at their home last night by members of their family, it being the sixty-third anniversary of their marriage. Their children, five in number were present. They are Mrs. Eloise Freudenberg, of Jersey City, New Jersey; Mrs. Anna Lindauer Lowe, Harry Lindauer, Arthur Lindauer, and Le Baron Lindauer of Rye, New York. Fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren were also at the gathering. Mr. and Mrs. Lindauer are in perfect health. Mr. Lindauer is eighty-four years and Mrs. Lindauer seventy-nine years of age. Mrs. Lindauer danced during the evening with Miss Blanche Lowe of Rye, New York, one of the grandchildren."

- Death of her father. "The body of Ira Lowe arrived in Syracuse at 11 o'clock yesterday morning Cortland and was taken to James Mullin & Son's undertaking rooms. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon with burial at the Jamesville Gate Cemetery. Mr. Lowe was 39 years old, and he died Saturday."
- Her father arrested for bigamy. "Ira Lowe, the tailor arrested yesterday on a charge of bigamy, the warrant being sworn out by Adelaide Lowe, of 171 East 109th street, New York City, who claims to have been married to Lowe on August 30, 1894 was held in $500 bail today."
