I ONLY KNOW
I only know you call
Across the intervening space:
I know you call, I come;
I cannot see you now,
I only know some day
I'll meet you face to face!

The song you sing, was once for me,
Your smile was mine, so gay and free:
Though years divide,
And space intervine,
I only know, all,
Shall be as it has been!
