​

A GEM
One gem so pure in it's clear reflection,
Little is needed to bring to perfection.
Another, though pure, a tiny spot is found,
It must pass thro the workshop and be ground.

Ground free from the litter, that most gems know:
Sometimes to the heart to remove the flaw!
That God's most wonderous light thro this gem
May be reflected back to the hearts of men!
