Poems (Mary Coleridge)/Poem 84
LXXXIV
I chanced to see, upon a day
Of blue beflecked with white and gray,
A crowd of busy men and an old hag—
The crossing wires above the street—
Two friends that did each other greet—
And England's flag.
Of blue beflecked with white and gray,
A crowd of busy men and an old hag—
The crossing wires above the street—
Two friends that did each other greet—
And England's flag.
