CONCERNING THE ACTIVITIES
ISRAEL. SIGNED AT PARIS, ON 20 SEPTEMBER 1941
WHEREAS the General Assembly of the United Nations, by resolution 57 approved 11 December 1946, created an International Children's Emergene Fund (hereinafter referred to as the Fund), and WHEREAS the Fund now has resources and expects to receive additiona resources and assets which the Executive-Board of the Fund has determine( shall be made available in part for the benefit of children and adolescent and expectant and nursing mothers among refugees from combat area of Israel, and WHEREAS the Government of Israel (hereinafter referred to as th, Government) desires the aid of the Fund for the benefit of children an( adolescents and expectant and nursing mothers within its territories, an( WHEREAS representatives of the Fund and of the Government hay, considered the need of such aid in Israel, and WHEREAS the Government has submitted its own programme of ai( for the benefit of children and adolescents and expectant and nursin mothers, and has dravn up plans of operations with respect to the prope. utilization and distribution of supplies or other assistance which the Fun( may provide, and the Fund has approved its own participation in sai( plans, Now, THEREFORE, the Government and the Fund have agreed a follows:
Article I FURNISHING OF SUPPLIES AND SERVICES
A. The Fund, within its determination of requirements and the limits o its resources, will provide foodstuffs and other supplies and services fo. the aid and assistance of the children, adolescents, expectant and nursin mothers of Israel. 1
Came into force on 20 September 1948, in accordance with article IX.
