Your Excellency,

With reference to the exemption of Japanese and Dominican citizens from visa formalities, I have the honour to inform you that the Japanese Government is prepared to conclude with the Dominican Government an agreement in the following terms:

1. Dominican citizens, whatever their place of residence, may enter Japan without a Japanese consular visa, for a sojourn of not more than three months upon presentation of a valid national passport.
