Your Excellency,
As you are aware, discussions have taken place between your Embassy and this Ministry on the arrangement for liquidating the unexecuted judgments of the Anglo-Turkish Mixed Arbitral Tribunal and it was orally agreed that a total sum of £T 107,100 should be paid by the Government of the Republic to the Government of His Britannic Majesty in ten annual instalments, without interests, in full and final settlement of the judgments in question.
I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that my Government has approved the above-mentioned arrangement as follows:
1. The total sum of £T 107,100 shall be paid direct to the Government of His Britannic Majesty in ten annual instalments, without interest, of £T 10,710 each which the Turkish Treasury will disburse at the beginning of each financial year and which will not be liable to any deductions in respect of duties, taxes or other charges.
2. The payment of the afore-mentioned total sum shall release the Turkish Government from all liability in respect of the claims of the British Government or of British subjects in connexion with all awards made by the Anglo-Turkish Mixed Arbitral Tribunal, relating both to pecuniary claims and movable assets and to immovable assets, and including, without any exception, awards made
