Order in Council Providing that Commissions Shall be Effective both in the Royal Navy, and in the Royal Australian Navy. 1914.

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 9th day of February,

The King's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.

Whereas there was this day read at the Board a Memorial from the Right Honourable the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, dated the 30th day of January, 1914 , in the words following, viz.:—

"Whereas Your Majesty has been graciously pleased to sanction the provision and maintenance of a Naval Force by the Commonwealth of Australia and to approve of such Naval Force being designated the Royal Australian Navy :

" And whereas provision has been made by the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia for the application to the Royal Australian Navy of the Naval Discipline Act, 1866,[1] as amended by any subsequent enactment, and of the Regulations for the government of the Royal Navy for the time being in force as regards disciplinary matters and for the coming into operation in relation to the Royal Australian Navy of the Naval Discipline (Dominion Naval Forces) Act, 1911[2]:
