Company—Financial Arrangements .
FORM PRESCRIBED BY THE BOARD OF TRADE OF ANNUAL RETURN OF Working Expenditure AND ROLLINg Stock.
RETURN in pursuance of Section 9 of the Regulation of Railways Act, 1871 , and of Section 32 of the Railway and Canal Traffic Act, 1888, by the Railway Company, of the Working Expenditure and Rolling Stock of the Railway and of the Railways belonging to or worked by the Railway Company.
Name of Company Length of line open on 31st Decemeber Working Expenditure during the year ended 31st December, Rolling Stock on 31st December, Including Salaries, Wages, Materials, &c. Rates and Taxes. Government Duty on Passangers. Compensation to employees under the Workmens Compensation Act, 1897 Compensation for Personal Injury. Compensation for Damage and Loss of Goods. Carriages, Waggons, Trucks, &c.
Maintainance and Renewal of Way and Works and Stations Locomotive power (incuding stationary engines). Repairs and Renewals of carriages and Waggons. Traffic Charges ( working Expenses of Pssanger and Goods Traffic). General Establishment Charges. Legal and Parliamentary Expenses. Steamboat, Canal, Harbour, and Dock Expenses. Miscellaneous Working Expenditure not included in the foregoing. Total Working Expenditure. Locomotives. Carriages used for the Conveyance of passangers only. Other vehicles attached to Passanger Trains.. Waggons of all kinds used for the conveyance of Live stock, Minerals or General Merchandise Any other Carriages or Waggons used on the Railway, not included in the preceeding Columns. Total Number of Vehicles of all Descriptions for Conveyance of Passengers, Live Stock, Ballast, &c.
- r1 Insert here the Names of all Railways included in this Return.
- r2 If the Company's Accounts are made up to a period differing from the above, the period which this Return embrace should be stated.
- r3 This length should not include those lines belonging to other Companies over which the Company have merely "running powers" It should, however, include part of the length of "Joint Lines," proportionate to the interest of the Company therein.
- r4 In the case of Scotch Railways " Feu Duties " should not be included under this head , but under that of "Miscellanous"
- r5 Payments to Insurance Companies " and to Funds under "Contracting-out-Schemes " to cover liabilities under the Act should be included, but "Legal Expenses " connected with compensation should be included under "Legal and Parliamentary Expenses."
Legal Expenses " connected with compensations should not be included under these heads, but Under that of "Legal and Parliamentray Expenses."
This Form supersedes Form 3 in Schedule 1 of the Regulation of Railways Act, 1871 (34 & 35 Vict c. 78)

N.B -This Return should include sums paid out of Renewal or Reserve Funds of any kind, and the amounts so paid should be stated under the several heads to which they are applicable. It should not, however, include "Interest on Loans."
