Now J, the Right Honourable Edward Baron Ashbourne, Lord High Chancellor of Ireland, with the concurrence of the said Thomas De Moleyns, Francis William Brady, J. C. Neligan, ROBERT FERGUSON, and THEOBALD PURCELL, so selected as aforesaid, and in pursuance of the powers given by the said recited Acts, have made the rules, orders, and forms herein-after set forth as the rules, orders, and forms to be used and in force in the suits and proceedings in the Civil Bill Courts herein-after mentioned; and I, the said Right Honourable EDWARD BARON ASHBOURNE, and we the said THOMAS DE MOLEYNS, FRANCIS WILLIAM BRADY, J. C. NELIGAN, ROBERT FERGUSON, and THEOBALD PURCELL, do hereby, under our hands, certify such rules, orders, and forms, and do fix that from and after the 15th day of March 1890 the same shall take effect and be in force in every Civil Bill Court in Ireland.

THE COUNTY COURTS (IRELAND) ORDERS, 1890.


The orders, rules, and forms hereinafter mentioned, shall on and from the 15th day of March 1890, be the orders, rules, and forms in force and used in the County or Civil Bill Courts. in Ireland, except in proceedings under the Probate Acts, the Landed Property (Ireland) Improvement Act, 1860,[1] the Landlord and Tenant (Ireland) Act, 1870,[2] and the Acts amending the same, other than the Land Law (Ireland) Act, 1887,[3] as to which all existing rules applicable to same shall continue to apply.

Short Title.

These orders may be cited as the "County Courts (Ireland) Orders, 1890."

Interpretation.

In the construction of these rules, words importing the singular number shall include the plural, and words importing the plural number shall include the singular number, and words
