diction over any such bankruptcy or liquidation as is in the said section mentioned, should be, and thereby was appointed as the person in whom the property of the bankrupt or liquidating debtor should vest, and who should exercise and perform the powers and obligations specified in the said section, the said Sir Robert Palmer Harding has become and is now the person in whom the property of certain bankrupts and liquidating debtors in proceedings in the High Court under the said Bankruptcy Act, 1869, became and is vested, and who has hitherto exercised and performed the powers and obligations specified in the said section in relation to the said property:
And whereas under and pursuant to an Order of the Board of Trade dated the 1st day of January 1884,[1] made under the said section 161 of the Bankruptcy Act, 1883, whereby it was ordered that the Official Receiver attached to the Court having juris- diction over any such bankruptcy as is in the said section mentioned should, from and after the commencement of the Bankruptcy Act, 1883, be and thereby was appointed as the trustee in place of the Registrar to and in whom the property of the bankrupt should pass and vest, the said Sir Robert Palmer Harding has become and is now the trustee in certain bankruptcies in the High Court under the Bankruptcy Act, 1869:
And whereas the tenure by the said Sir Robert Palmer Harding of his office as Chief Official Receiver and Official Receiver of the Bankruptcy District of the High Court expires on the 31st day of March 1890, and the said Sir Robert Palmer Harding will on the 1st day of April 1890, cease to hold such office, and it is necessary and expedient that provision should be made for the vesting of the property which, under the said recited enactments and Orders, has become and is now vested in the said Sir Robert Palmer Harding, and the exercise and performance of the powers and obligations in relation to such property, bankrupts, and liquidating debtors to be exercised and performed under the said enactments and Orders, and for the appointment of an Official Receiver and person who shall from and after the commencement of this Order be trusted under and for the purposes of the said sections 159 and 161, or the person in whom property shall vest under and for the purposes of the said section 160 of the Bankruptcy Act, 1883, in bankruptcies and liquidations in the High Court to which the said sections apply:
And whereas by an Order of the Board of Trade Mr. Peter Paget, the Official Assignee of the former London Bankruptcy Court, has, for the purposes of the exercise and performance of the powers and duties conferred and imposed by the said enactments been appointed to be also one of the Official Receivers for the District of the High Court, in succession to the said Sir Robert Palmer Harding:
