sent to Her Majesty that it would be expedient to fix fees to be paid on the verification and stamping of weights, measures, or weighing instruments, in cases other than those specified in the First Schedule to the said Act, it shall be lawful for Her Majesty, by Order in Council, from time to time to direct such fees to be paid:

And whereas the Board of Trade have represented to Her Majesty that it would be expedient to fix fees to be taken in respect of the verification and stamping by inspectors of weights and measures, of the measures specified in the schedule hereto annexed:

And whereas it has been made to appear that the fees comprised in the said schedule are reasonable and proper:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by virtue of the power vested in Her by the said Act, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, is pleased to direct that the fees set forth in the schedule hereto annexed shall be taken by inspectors of weights and measures on the verification and stamping of the measures specified in the said schedule.

Whereas by the Weights and Measures Act, 1878,<r1. it is (among other things) provided that the Board of Trade shall from time to time cause such new denominations of standards, being either equivalent to or multiples or aliquot parts of the imperial weights and measures ascertained by the said Act, as appear to them to be required in addition to those mentioned in the second schedule to the said Act, to be made and duly verified,
