The Salmon and Migratory Trout (Drift-net Fishing) Licensing (Extension) Order 1964

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and the Secretaries of State for Scotland and the Home Department (being the Secretaries of State concerned with the sea-fishing industry in Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively) in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the White Fish and Herring Industries Act 1948(a)[1], as read with and amended by section 8 of the Sea Fish Industry Act 1959(b)[2] and as read with and amended by section 11 of the Sea Fish Industry Act 1962(c)[3] as amended by section 3 (3 ) of and Schedule 1 to the Fishery Limits Act 1964(d)[4] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following order:
1. This order may be cited as the Salmon and Migratory Trout (Drift-net Fishing) Licensing (Extension ) Order 1964 and shall come into operation on 15th February 1965.
2.—(1) In this order—
"the principal order " means the Salmon and Migratory Trout (Drift-net Fishing) Licensing Order 1962.(e)[5]
(2) The Interpretation Act 1889(f)[6] shall apply to the interpretation of this order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
3. Article 4 of the principal order shall be read and construed as if for the date 15th February 1965 there were substituted the date 15th February 1966.
