The Salmon and Migratory Trout (Drift-net Fishing) Restrictions on Landing ( Extension ) Order 1964

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and the Secretaries of State for Scotland and the Home Department (being the Secretaries of State concerned with the sea-fishing industry in Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively) in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 as read with section 8(1) of the Sea-Fishing Industry Act 1933(a)[1] as amended by section 39(2) of the Sea Fish Industry Act 1938(b)[2] and as read with and amended by section 12 of the Sea Fish Industry Act 1962(c)[3] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, after consultation with the Minister of Transport hereby make the following order:
1. This order may be cited as the Salmon and Migratory Trout (Drift-net Fishing) Restrictions on Landing ( Extension) Order 1964 and shall come into operation on 15th February 1965.
2.—(1) In this order—
"the principal order " means the Salmon and Migratory Trout (Drift-net Fishing) Restrictions on Landing Order 1962(d)[4].
2. The Interpretation Act 1889(e)[5] shall apply to the interpretation of this order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
3. Article 3 of the principal order shall be read and construed as if for the date 15th February 1965 there were substituted the date 15th February 1966.
