Of Leda hath he told, self-slain 200
By the death-noose's strangling strain,
Her heart for my shame anguish-riven:—
Tells of my lord,—o'er far seas driven
Now hath he vanished tempest-tost;—
Of Kastor and his brother lost
From earth, their country's twin-born boast:
Where hoofs have thundered, athletes striven,
