Epistle. {Gal. v. Walk in the spirit, &c.) What the Spirit effects in the children of men. His twelve Fruits. Comparison with what flesh and blood could produce. What we are to do she is always for the subduing of our Flesh ready to rebel ; we have all to combat her. Necessity of corporal mortification ; what that admirable teaching of St. Francis of demands Sales regarding it. —Mortified people are the most affable of men ;— the most cheerful are often the busiest in bodily mortification.
