Gourdes in Potage.
Take young Gowrd᷒ pare hem and kerue[5] hem on pecys. caſt hem in gode broth. and do þ᷒ to a gode ꝑtye[6] of Oynon̄s mynced. take Pork ſoden. grynd it and alye it þ᷒ ws and wiþ zolkes of ayren̄. do þ᷒ to ſafron̄ and ſalt. and meſſe it forth with powdo᷑ douce.

Take Ryſe and waiſhe hem clene. and do hē in erthen pot with gode broth and lat hem ſeeþ wel. afterward take Alman̄d mylke[8] and do þ᷒ to. and colo᷑ it wiþ ſafron̄ ā ſalt. ā meſſe forth.
