He m. firstly, 2 Dec. 1858, in the chapel at Galloway House, Emma Georgiana, 24 da. of Randolph (STEWART), 9th EARL OF GALLOWAY [S.], by Harriet Blanche, da. of Henry Charles (SOMERSET), 6th DUKE OF BEAUFORT. She,
who was b. 6 Nov. 1810, d. 24 Jan. 1869. He m. secondly, 2 Oct. 1878, Mary Stuart, 3d da. of the Rt. Hon. Lord Claud HAMILTON (2d 8. of the 1st MARQUESS OF ABERCORN), by Elizabeth Emma, da, of Grauville Leveson (PROBY), 3d EARL OF CARYSFOỻRT [I.]. She was b. 27 May 1851.
Family Estates.- These, in 1883, consisted of 28,651 acres in Cheshire, besides 65 in Derbyshire and Flintshire, and 7.010 in Suffolk. Total, 35,726 acres, worth £43,345 a year. Principal Residences-Peckforton Castle, near Tarporley, in Cheshire, and Helmingham Hall, near Stoubam, co. Suffolk.

TONI.
1. ROBERT DE TONI, who had considerable estates in divers counties, viz., at Flamstead. co. Herts. Kirtling. co. Cambridge, Maud Castle in Colwent. in the marches of Wales, &c.. s. and h. of Ralph DE TONI.[2] of the same; suc. his father in 1264; served in the wars of Scotland and Gascony, and was sum. to Parl. as a Baron (LORD TONI) by writs from 10 April (1299; 27 Ed. I. to 16 June (1311) 4 Ed. II. His name as "Rob'tus de Tony. Dnus de castro Matill" appears among those of the Barons who signed the letter to the Pope in 1301.[3] He m. Maud. who survived him. He d. s.p. (1309-10) 3 Ed. II., when the Barony became extinct.[4]
