பழமொழி.
  1. அரைச்சீலை கட்டக் கைக்கு உபசாரமா?
    Is the hand to be complimented for tying the waist-cloth?
  2. அரைச்சொற் கொண்டு அம்பலம் ஏறலாமோ?
    Can one go before an assembly with half a word?
  3. அரைச்சொற் கொண்டு அம்பலம் ஏறினால், அரைச்சொல் முழுச்சொல்லாகும்.
    Half a word admitted into the assembly becomes a whole word.
  4. அரைத்த பயறு முளைத்தாற்போல.
    As if macerated gram should sprout.
  5. அரைத்து மீந்தது அம்மி சிரைத்து மீந்தது குடுமி.
    After grinding the stone remains; after shaving the head, the kudumi (tuft of hair) remains.
