பழமொழி.
  1. மாட்டைப் புல் உள்ள தலத்திலும், மனுஷனைச் சோறு உள்ள தலத்திலும் இருக்க ஒட்டாது.
    It will not allow the cow to be content in its pasture, nor a man with his boiled rice.
  2. மாட்டை மேய்த்தானாம் கோலைப் போட்டானாம்.
    It is said that he tended the cows and threw away the goad.
  3. மாணிக்கக் காலுக்கு மாற்றுக்கால் இருக்கிறது.
    There is a spare leg, for the one made of a ruby.
  4. மாதம் காதவழி மானாகத் துள்ளுவான்.
    He will leap like a deer, ten miles in a month.
  5. மாதா செய்தது மக்களுக்கு.
    The faults of a mother are visited on her children.
  6. மாதா மனம் எரிய வாழாள் ஒரு நாளும்.
    Whilst her mother’s heart is wounded, she will not prosper even for a day.
  7. மாத்திரை தப்ப மிதித்தால், கோத்திரம் கூறப்படும்.
    If one exceed his limit, his ancestry will be exposed.
  8. மாப் புளிக்கிறது எல்லாம் பணிகாரத்துக்கு நலம்.
    The more the flour is leavened the better for the cakes.
  9. மாப் பொன் இருக்க மக்களைச் சாவக் கொடுப்பேனா?
    Whilst I possess a particle of gold, will I allow my children to die?
  10. மா மறந்த கூழுக்கு உப்பு ஒரு கேடா?
    Does the absence of salt spoil gruel made without flour?
  11. மாமி ஒட்டினாலும் பானை ஒட்டாது.
    Though a mother-in-law may be reconciled, the broken pieces of an earthen pot cannot be reunited.
