பழமொழி.
  1. தண்ணீரும் மூன்று பிழை பொறுக்கும்.
    Even water will forgive a fault three times.
    Referring to a person who rises to the surface three times after having fallen into deep water.
  2. தண்ணீர் குடித்த வயிறும் தென்னோலை இட்ட காதும் சரி.
    The belly that has taken in water, and the aperture in the ear that has received a circlet of ola, are alike-each enlarges as pressed.
  3. தண்ணீரையும் தாயையும் பழிக்கலாமா?
    May one abuse water, or one’s mother?

    A Vaishnava mendicant beats a drum, and a Saiva mendicant blows a conch.
