பழமொழி.
  1. கை தப்பினாற் கரணம்.
    If the hand missess its hold, a somersault.
  2. கை நிறைந்த பொன் இல்லாவிட்டாலும் கண் நிறைந்த கணவன் இருக்க வேண்டும்.
    Though not possessed of a handfull of gold, one should have a husband that fills the eye.
  3. கை பட்டால் கண்ணாடி.
    Handling makes a thing shine as glass.
  4. கைப்பழத்தைக் கொடுத்துத் துறட்டிப் பழத்துக்கு அண்ணாந்து நிற்பானேன்.
    Why give the fruit in your hand and stand gazing at that which can only be reached by a hook?
  5. கைப்பொருள் தன்னில் மெய்ப்பொருள் கல்வி.
    Learning is better than riches.
  6. கைப்பொருள் இல்லா வழிப்போக்கன் கள்வர் முன் படலாம்.
    The wayfaring man who has no money may encounter thieves with impunity.
  7. கைப்பொருள் அற்றால் கட்டுக்கழுத்தியும் பாராள்.
    If destitute of wealth, even one’s own married wife will not regard him.
  8. கைம்பெண்டாட்டி பெற்ற கழிகடை.
    The refuse that the widow has brought forth.
  9. கைம்பெண்சாதி எருமையில் கை பழக வந்தான்.
    He came to the buffalo of the widow to learn to milk.
  10. கையால் கிள்ளி எறியும் வேலைக்குக் கனத்த கோடாலி வேண்டுமோ?
    Is a heavy axe required for a work that may be easily effected by the hand?
