Many new cafés and places of amusement have been opened, testifying to the money in people's pockets. Rich fugitives from the districts conquered by the Germans and Austrians seem to have started businesses in Moscow and have imparted to it a tinge of the complexion of Warsaw—part of the extra gaiety of Warsaw seems to have arrived. One notices such new names as that of the Piccadilly Café opposite Phillipof's.
