یِ‎ cannot take place, for the simple reason there is no ا‎ to change.

But they can and do add ون‎; as

مردmard, man or men. مردون كاmardoṅ kā, of men.

Cases of Nouns.

The cases of nouns are made by adding the following particles, called post-positions:

كا expressing genitive case or a dependent relation.
کو for the objective case.
نےne for the agent.

These will be explained later on in the syntax.

سےse for the instrumental or ablative case.
مینmeṅ locative "in."
پرpar locative "on."
تکtak locative "up to."

and the prefix ایai for the vocative.

PRONOUNS.

The pronouns are:

میںmain, I. تم or تینtain, thou.
همْham, we. تمyou, you.

In these هلراhārā or āra is substituted for كا to express the genitive; as
