62H. The calculations for Mēsha saṁkrānti are to be made exactly on the same principle as in the case for similar calculations for the Original Surya and Brahma Siddhantas, but using the above Table for sodhya-values. The rules have been sufficiently explained, and need not be repeated.

For an example I take the years A.D. 1150 (K.Y. 4251 expired) and 1250 (K.Y. 4351 expired).

(i) The full working-rule. [It may be as well to state that the amounts of deduction made in the calculation below according to the Table in § 167A are obtained by adding together the figures given in that Table for millenniums, centuries, decades and odd ears of the expired year of the Kaliyuga.]:—
