[1]and where it was ordained by the Statute made in the Time of King Henry the Fourth, That the Aulnage of Cloths within this Realm may be committed to Ferm, or in Approvement, according to the Direction of the Treasurer of England for the time being, as in the said Statutes more fully is declared; (3) yet that notwithstanding divers Persons have obtained the King's Letters Patents of the said Offices and Aulnage, some for Term of Life, and some for Terms of Year, to the great Prejudice of the King and of his People, and contrary to the said Statutes: (4) Our said Lord the King considering the Premisses, hath ordained by the Authority aforesaid, That all Letters Patents made of any of the said Offices or Aulnage to any Person, against the Effect of the said Statutes, shall be void, and of no Force; [2](5) and that no Letters Patents of any of the said Offices, or Aulnage, shall be made hereafter, but by Warrant of Bill sealed by the Treasurer of England for the time being, sent by him into the Chancery, as it hath been accustomed before this Time.
[1]II. And that all Letters Patents made, or to be made hereafter, of the said Offices or Aulnage, by other Warrant than by Bill of the Treasurer, shall he void, and of no Effect. (2) Provided always, That this Act shall not extend, nor be prejudicial nor hurtful to our Sovereign Lady the Queen, the Prince, the Duke of Buckingham, to the Inheritors of Henry late Duke of Warwick, nor to the Mayor and Commonalty of London, nor to the Mayor, Bailiffs, and Commonalty of the City of Winchester, as to any Grant or Grants, Demise or Demises of the Aulnage, or any Grant or Grants of any Sum or Sums of Money of the Ferm of the Aulnage, to them granted, made, or confirmed, nor to any Comptroller having any Offices out of the King's Ports, nor to John Penycok Esquire, nor to Gyles Seinclo Esquire, nor to any of the King's or Queen's Houshold Servants, [2]of any Grant or Grants of any Office or Offices to them made before this Time, with the Fees and Wages of old Time due and accustomed.

The Statute of 20 Hen. 6. c. 2. touching the Forfeiture of them which be outlawed in the County of Lancaster, made perpetual.
ITEM qe come au parlement tenuz a Westm' lan vintisme du Roy qorest estoit ordeigne par auctorite de mesme le parlement qe null persone dez lieges du Roy encountre quell lexigent serra agarde ou utlagarie pronunce al suyte du Roy ou al suyte de partie en temps avenir en le counte de Lancastre forsace ascuns de sez biens ou chateux terres ou tenementes en ascun autre counte forque soulement lez biens & chateux terres & tenementes le queux les persones ensi outlages ou ils encountre queux tiel exigent serra agarde en le dit counte de Lancastre ount en mesme le counte et par reason dascun tiel utlagarie al suyte du Roy ou al suyte dascun autre persone pronounce deinz le dit counte de Lancastre ne soit forbarre ne disable dascun manier daction ne a claimer asun manere denheritaunce hors de mesme le counte ne disable a pursuer ascun manier daction hours de mesme le counte nient obstant autiel utlagarie encountre luy pronounce come en le dit estatute plus plainement appiert le quell estatute orest expire pur cause qil estoit ordeigne dendurer mes pur sept ans adonqes proschein ensuantez le quel estatute fuist profitable & necessarie a lez lieges du Roy. Nostre dit Seignur le Roy lez premissez considerant par advis & assent des Seignurs espitituelx & temporelx en le dit parlement assemblez al request dez ditz Communes & par auctorite de mesme le parlement ad ordeigne & establie qu le dit jadis estatute soit en sa force & vertue Preignant effect & force a darrein jour de Marche lan de son reigne xxx. & a ycelluy jour perpetuelment dendurer.
