Adjutant. "Are you the Cossack Post?"

Yeomanry Sergeant. "Yes, Sir."

Adjutant. "Where is your dismounted Sentry?"

Sergeant. "Up there, Sir."

Adjutant. "Where are your Vedettes?"

Sergeant. "Over there, Sir."

Adjutant. "Ah—what is a Vedette?"

Sergeant (producing drill-book). "P'raps this little Red Book might help you, Sir."
