In an apparatus for ascertaining and registering the sense of an assembly, the com- bination of a plurality of circuit-closing disks, a pair of contact devices coéperating with each disk, a source of polarized current con- neeted to said contact deviees, a set of con- tact-plates connected to said disks, a current- collector coipcrating with said plates, a po- lavized rolay connected with said eurrent-col- lector, means controlled by the relay for ef- fecting a printed record of the votes and for simultaneously effecting w tobalization there- of, means for simultaneously restoring the totalizing devices, neans for locking the cir- cuit-closing disks in either of their extreme positions, and a maguet in circuit between each of the disks and the contact-plates for releasing tho disks, substantially as set forth.
