Life is not a masquerade!
There are hearts that can be trusted,
Hearts by selfishness unswayed,
Hearts that avarice has not rusted,
Hearts that love and cherish truth,
Deeming it no idle story,
Hearts that keep the dew of youth
When the head with age is hoary.

Life is not a masquerade!

Love is not a vague ideal;
