genius of the universe—a conception difficult and tedious of utterance. We would have you see an infinite plenum, pervaded by an electric love: beating with an even pulse, infinitely charging and discharging—swelling here, and yielding there—sacrificing hero, and favoring there,—changing for variety and new beauty, and returning to compensate, through ways as infinite and for reasons as infinite as the space it works in,—all things individually made and moved with reference to all other things collectively,—each thing having the epitome of all things in its own being, and all the universe covered with the influence of the simplest thing in existence, for whose pleasure all the universe is taxed.—Can you see our meaning?
