ORDINANCE NO. 11-2003

IMPOSING ASSESSMENT FEE TO MINOR TRAVELLING ABROAD

WHEREAS, to avoid child trafficking which involve children who are brought out of the country by the alleged mother or other individuals in exchange for fees, a Travel Clearance was required by the Bureau of Immigration;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office is tasked to assess the applicant before a travel clearance is issued;

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Mayantoc, Tarlac in session duly assembled that:

Sec. 1. No minor shall be allowed to travel outside the country unless a Travel Clearance is issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Field Office or its attached agency;

Sec. 2. The Municipal Social Worker shall assess the validity of his/her travel;

Sec.3. An assessment fee of TWO HUNDRED PESOS (P200.00) shall be collected from each Applicant

Sec. 4. No assessment certificate shall be issued by the MSWO unless the prescribed fee has been paid to the Municipal Treasury Office and a corresponding official receipt shall be issued to the payee

Sec. 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
