Desiderata.

The Bose Institute has a very wide field of activity. In order adequately to equip, maintain, and carry out any one of the present main branches of investigation an endowment of at least 12 lacs of rupees would be required. Yet no less than six branches of investigations have been more or less opened, which will include Physics, Plant Physiology, Animal Physiology, Psycho-Physics, Practical application in Agriculture, and also in Medicine.

The extent of the activity of the Institute in each of these branches is therefore limited by its endowments. In order that further beginnings should be made, an endowment of 24 lacs is required.
