THESE Letters were written during a residence in London, and addressed to a friend in Massachusetts. The writer has endeavoured to blend amusement with in formation, and has attempted to sketch both national, and individual character; with occasional outlines of the state of soci ety in that interesting country. The fre quent allusion to the United States, by way of comparison, while it adds variety, he trusts will take nothing from the im partiality of the work. The public will judge.
