PETER OF SAVOY was nominated by the Pope, and rejected by the King[4]; afterwards,

WALTER REYNOLDS or RAYNALD, canon of St. Paul's, London, and treasurer of England, was elected 2nd Jan. 1307-8 by the chapter, yet nevertheless the Pope also issued his bull of provision in his favour. He had the temporalities restored[5] to him 5th April 1309[6], and he was consecrated on the 13th of the following October[7]. He became chancellor of England in 1310, and was sent to the council of Vienne in 1311[8], and was translated to Canterbury by papal bull dated 1st Oct. 1313[9]. On the promotion of bishop Reynolds to the archiepiscopal see of Canterbury,

1314 7 Edw. II. WALTER MAYDENSTUN or MAIDSTON[10] was provided to this see by papal bull 1st Oct. 1313, and had the temporalities restored to him 17th Feb. 1313-14[11]. He died on the continent in April 1317, and the
