HUGH TROTTER was admitted 23rd Jan. 1493-4; he resigned in the same year.

JOHN HERT was admitted 23rd June 1494, on the re- signation of Trotter; he died 8th Dec. 1495. His will, dated 3rd Dec. 1495, was proved on the 12th of that month.

WILLIAM LANGTON was admitted 11th Jan. 1495–6, vice Hert. His will is dated 10th Nov. 1496, on which day he died[1].

MARTIN COLLINS was admitted 26th Nov. 1496; resigned this dignity for the treasurership in 1503.

JOHN PEROT succeeded 20th Oct. 1503, on the resignation of Collins. His will, dated 2nd Feb. 1518-19, was proved on the 12th of that month.

THOMAS LINACRE was admitted 29th April 1519: void by the death of Perot. He resigned the same year.

RICHARD WYAT, S.T.P., was admitted 13th Nov. 1519: void by the resignation of Linacre. He died in 1522, and his will was proved 31st Oct. in that year.

WILLIAM HOLGYLL was admitted 6th Sept. 1522. He resigned in Nov. 1534.

WILLIAM CLYFF was admitted 2nd Nov. 1534.

EDWARD KELLET was admitted 13th April 1538, on the resignation of Clyff. He died possessed of it 5th Sept. 1539, and was buried in the cathedral[2].

NICHOLAS EVERARD held it in 1539.

JOHN ROKEBY, LL.D., succeeded in 1545, and died in the latter end of 1574.

JOHN GIBSON or GIBBON[3], LL.D., succeeded in 1575. He died 28th Feb. 1612-13.

HENRY BANKS, S.T.P., was admitted in April 1613: void by the death of Gibson.

JOHN BROOKES, S.T.P., was admitted in April 1615, loco Banks. Brookes died 23rd March 1616-17, ætat. 49, and was buried in the cathedral.
