The inscription opens with the sacred syllable dv and obeluance to Siva und Ganapati which are followed hy three invocatory verses. The first two of these verses are in praise of Krishna ond Siva respectively and the third is a quotation of the verse found at the commencement af Dandin's Kavyddaria, A similar instance in found in tho Rewah Plates of the Mal iripaka Kumirapila (V. 8, 1297) and the Mahiranaka Harirajadéva (V. 8. 1298)? where the lust of the three introductory verses is taken Erom the introduation to Bana's Kadambari, T
