MR. RUDOLF FRIML.
Often he merely improvises on a recording piano, and then has the music transcribed to the printed page. It is his practice to have printed at the end of his recital programs a number to which never a note was written. When the time comes for the number to be played, Friml sits down to the piano and begins to improvise to the inexpressible delight of his hearers.
A good story to this effect is told
