The writer of this letter is a lieutenant-colonel and a member of a distinguished order of knighthood. I must suppose myself to be asked the questions: "What do you make of the Lieutenant-Colonel's evidence? And what do you make of the Lance-Corporal's evidence?" These are questions that I have asked myself. The answer to both is simple, but quite unsatisfactory: I don't know what to make of these two pieces of evidence.
