The celts found on these sites are in various stages of manufacture. The abundant varieties of mealing-stones, corn-crushers and pounding-stones indicate that they had passed the hunting stage aud were settling down to agricultural pursuits, Their peaceful instruments are more abundant than weapons of war, and they were more vegetarian than carnivorous.
