我有 Góa ū, I have.

爾無 Lí bô, You have not.

他們欲否 In ài bô? Do they wish or no?

咱們不欲 Lán m̄-ài, We do not wish.

他要來 I beh lâi, He will come.

他俱各要 I lóng-tsóng beh, He wants all.

各個來 Ta̍k-ê lâi, Each one comes.

咱們去呌他 Lán khì kiò--i, You and I go to call him.

使他來 Chhe--i lâi, Send him here.

他欲我去 I ài góa khì, He wants me to go.

使他去 Chhe i khì, Send him away.

呌不來 Kiò m̄ lâi, Though called he will not come.

各個不去 Ta̍k-ê m̄ khì, Each one will not go.

我們要他們不要 Goán beh lín m̄, We wish, but you are unwilling.

俱各不來 Lóng-tsóng m̄ lâi, They all will not come.

來來去去 Lâi-lâi, khì-khì, Coming and going.

他欲否 I ài, m̄? Does he wish it or not?

無呌無來 Bô kiò, bô lâi If you do not call, he will not come.

他欲我不欲 I ài, góa m̄-ài, He wishes it, I don't.

他愛我不給 I ài, góa m̄, He wishes it, but I won't give it him.

爾我皆無 Lí, góa, lóng bô, Neither you nor I have any.

各個欲 Ta̍k-ê ài, Each one wants.

他愛否 I ài--bô, 他有愛否 I ū ài--bô, 他愛否 I ài m̄, Does he want it?

來去都不欲 Lâi, khì, lóng m̄, He does not wish to come or go.

要去否 Beh khì m̄? Are you going or not?

我們有你們無 Goán ū, lín bô, We have, you have not.

他俱各有 In lóng-tsóng ū, They all have.

爾有否有 Lí ū bô? Ū Have you any or not? Yes.

他不要來 I bô beh lâi, He will not come.
