several times weekly.

Dahlia went straightway
to the Afro Beauty College
to have her own moss unkinked.
At sixty both women
from efforts to imitate
the natural appearance of each
above the ears
were forced to buy wigs
from the salons.
Yet this was a triumph for civilization
and American progress—
Think how they aided
the entire hair industry!
