COSSOANUS (Κοσσόανος, Arrian. Indie. 4), one of the many tributaries cf the Ganges, recorded by Arrian. It is probably the same as that which Pliny (vi. 18. s. 23) calls Cosseagus. It has bean conjectured that it is the same as that now called Cosi or Coss. [ V. ]
