Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography/Casinomagus
CASINOMAGUS, in Transalpine Gaul, is placed by the Table on a road from Mediolanum Santonum (Saintes) to Ausritum, Augnstoritum (Limoges), 25½ Roman miles from Limoges. It seems to be Chassenon, on the left bank of the Vienne, which is a probable corruption of Casinomagus. D'Anville discusses the position of another Casinomagus somewhere between Auch and Toulouse, but nothing can be made of it.
