BERO′THA (Βηρώθη), mentioned only by Josephus a city of Upper Galilee, not far from Cadesh (Naphthali) (Ant. v. 1. § 18). He makes it the scene of the decisive battle which Joshua fought with the northern kings "at the waters of Merom." (Josh. xi. 1–9.) [ G. W. ]
