​ BARNA (Βάρνα, Arrian. Ind. 27), a small village at which the fleet of Nearchus halted for a short time. It was the next place to Balomura, and is probably the same as the Badara (Βαδάρα Γεδρωσίας) of Ptolemy, (vi. 21. § 5.) (Vincent, Navig. of Indian Ocean, vol. i. p. 250.) [ V. ]
